Week 3 Update: Brooke McIntosh’s Run Around Australia

As Brooke McIntosh enters the third week of her monumental journey to run around Australia, she continues to inspire with her resilience and commitment to mental health awareness. Covering an impressive 80 kilometers daily, Brooke’s mission, “Just One More,” aims to spark conversations about mental health and raise funds for the Blue Tree Project.

On Day 18, Brooke engaged in a heartfelt live discussion with media personality Heidi Anderson. They talked about the emotional and physical challenges of the run, the power of resilience, and the importance of community support. Heidi and Brooke also reinforced the message that sometimes, “just one more conversation” can make all the difference in mental health.

It was a powerful conversation—raw, unfiltered, and full of the energy that keeps her moving forward. With every step, every story, and every challenge, Brooke is proving that the Just One More mindset is unstoppable. 🚀🔥

As Brooke progresses, she plans to host similar events in major cities like Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney. These events will include documentary screenings, live Q&A sessions, and community runs, all designed to encourage participation and dialogue around mental health. Brooke acknowledges that while the journey is physically demanding, the emotional and spiritual growth she experiences fuels her determination to continue.

Seventy kilometers deep into day 19, and the body had other plans. Mid-run, a simple burp turned into a full power chuck… and because she was running faster than it, she ran back into it. Yeah. That happened. 🤢🏃♀️

For anyone fighting their own mental battles—this is for you. Keep going. Keep pushing. You’re stronger than you think. 💙🔥

As Brooke pushed through another 80 kilometers on Day 20, she shared a rare glimpse into her running routine. Most days, she runs in silence—just the rhythm of her feet hitting the pavement, the occasional happy beat mix, or binaural beats to stay in the zone. But on this particular day, something shifted.

Brooke found herself in full flow, locked into a powerful mindset, and listening to a podcast on repeat—Focus on Your Dream. She played it three times over, letting the wisdom sink in deeper with every step. It was one of those days where everything clicked, and she wanted to pass that energy on.

As the journey continues, Brooke keeps proving that the right mindset can make all the difference. 🚀🔥

Over the weekend, Brooke had one of the most powerful moments of her journey so far. In the middle of the Nullarbor, with nothing but endless road ahead, she heard someone call her name—“Go, Brooke!”

Looking over, she spotted an older man on a pushbike. He was riding across Australia, starting in Fremantle and aiming for Sydney. But doubt had crept in. He told Brooke he was thinking of stopping in Adelaide.

They shared a raw, emotional conversation about the mental battle of endurance. He expected his body to give out first, but it was his mind that was struggling. Brooke reminded him that this journey—like all big challenges in life—is won in the mind first. She told him, “If you push for just one more, you’ll make it to Sydney.”

With a hug and a few tears shed, he got back on his bike. Before leaving, he handed Brooke $5—just a small but powerful gesture of support.

This moment was a reminder that even in the loneliest stretches, no one is truly alone. There are always people watching, supporting, and cheering you on—even from the most unexpected places. 💙🔥

Brooke is running for those who haven’t yet found the strength, hoping to prove that healing and growth are possible. The world is still a beautiful place, even after trauma. It’s a personal choice to stop letting it have power over you.

If she stopped running today, deep down, she knows she is loved, she is worthy, and she is enough. And to truly feel that—that feeling is priceless. ❤️🔥

Concerts on the Road 🎤

This week, Brooke has also been putting on concerts mid-run, taking song requests and belting out tunes while clocking the kilometers. Even Matt joined in for a duet at one point—whether that was a highlight or a crime against music is up for debate. 🤣

P.S. Thanks for all the song requests! Want to request one?
